The stoneware is a type of clay that is fired and matured in extremely high temperature exceeding 2200 degrees Fahrenheit. It is a man-made stone that is impermeable and hard enough to resist scratching by a steel point. The hand painted stoneware became known throughout the world simply as Polish Pottery. And yes, it is lead and cadmium free.
Polish Pottery is safe to use in the microwave, oven, dishwasher and freezer. It's great to use in the kitchen, while baking or to set your table.
